Ensemble vocale e Consort Strumentale Andrea Palladio

The Ensemble Vocale e Consort Strumentale Andrea Palladio is a selection of musicians, expression of the first parts of the homonymous Orchestra Barocca Andrea Palladio.

Since 2009, 250th anniversary of Georg Friedrich Händel's death, the ensemble has begun the integral performance of the sacred compositions for soloists, choir and orchestra of the “Dear Saxon”.

Under the conductorship of Enrico Zanovello, international performer and teacher at the Conservatory of Vicenza, the Andrea Palladio Choir and Orchestra has performed on prestigious national and international stages, where it meets with the praise of being one of the most qualified ensembles for the baroque repertoire and Händel's works in particular.

The presence at Festivals in prestigious Churches and Theaters in Italy and in Europe, such as Basilica of Aquileia, Filarmonica of Trento, Cathedral of Brescia, Schola Grande of S. Rocco Venice, Asamkirche of Ingolstadt, Teatro Dal Verme of Milano, Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, Teatro Ristori of Verona, Il Cairo Opera House and many others has been constant.

Among many projects under the conductorship of Enrico Zanovello, is remarkable the first Italian performance, with debut at the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, of Händel's The Anthem On The Peace, for Soloists, Choir and Orchestra and the first performance in modern times of the revised and reissued pantomime Pantalone and Colombina by W. A. Mozart at the Opera House of Cairo.

The long preparation of a piece is faced with stylistic conscience in order to achieve a language that, although philologically correct, is free from any mannered approach.

The Orchestra has won international competitions, among which with the collaboration of I Cantori di Santomio, the second prize (first not awarded) at the International Competition of Arezzo.

It has produced more than twenty CDs for the labels Brilliant, Tactus, Ricordi, Discantica, Fugatto. The last CD “The Lord is my light” (Discantica), dedicated to the Anthems of Händel, was greeted by the critics as “unmissable” and presented by the authoritative music reviewer Armando Torno on RAI 5.

Numerous the TV programs, the last one the performance of Händel's Alcina on RAI 5, conducted by Andrea Marcon.
