Enrico Zanovello

Enrico Zanovello was born in1963 in Vicenza. His musical course and the development of his artistic personality have been rich in important experiences.

He obtained the organ diploma at the Conservatory “A. Boito” of Parma with Stefano Innocenti and the harpsichord diploma at the Conservatory “L. Marenzio”of Brescia with Andrea Marcon, with whom he has begun a course, that is still going on, to widen his knowledge of the historically informed performance.

In order to complete his musical education, he also attended the course of Orchestral Conducting at the Conservatory of Vicenza with Giancarlo Andretta.

He was teacher at the Conservatories of Venice, Trieste, Cagliari and Brescia. Since 2005 he has been teacher at the Conservatory of Vicenza.

He holds regularly masterclasses and specialization courses at several musical institutions in Italy and abroad.

He is regularly invited as a jury member in organ and choir international competitions.

In his artistic career he has attended as a conductor and an organist prestigious European and American festivals and has given more than thousand concerts: noteworthy the organ concerts in the cathedrals of Washington, Notre-Dame of Paris, Warsaw, Brugge, Edimburgh, St-Ouen (Rouen), Bratislava, Helsinki, Malaga, Tonsberg (Norway) and Lausanne.

He has held as well inauguration concerts of many new instruments or of restored historical instruments, such as the organs of Cathedral of Brugge, Saint Saviour of Jerusalem and Church of Saint Lawrence in Ianakkala (Finland).

His concerts are regularly broadcast and telecast.

His conductorship of the Andrea Palladio Choir and Orchestra has brought him to perform on important stages such as: Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, Il Cairo Opera House, Basilica of Aquileia, Asamkirche of Ingolstadt, Concert Hall of the Filarmonica of Trento, Cathedral of Brescia and Schola Grande of S. Rocco-Venice.

He conducted the first Italian performance at the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza of the Anthem On The Peace – sacred opera for Soloists, Choir and Orchestra by G. F. Händel and at the Opera House of Cairo the first performance in modern times of the revised and reissued pantomime Pantalone and Colombina by W. A. Mozart.

He has recorded numerous CDs as soloist and conductor and has received prizes and acknowledgements of Italian and European specialized magazines such as the prize “Coup de coeur” of the Belgian magazine “Le magazine d’orgue” and the appraisal “exceptional” of the magazine “Musica”.
